Tyler Duncan grew up surrounded by design. His father, Turner Duncan of Duncan & Miller Design is an architectural designer and his mother, Mollie, was an artist. So it was only natural that he would pursue a creative endeavor. Tyler received his Masters Degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University and has been practicing for 15 years. His favorite architectural designer is David Rockwell of Rockwell New York. For the first half of his career, he worked as an architectural designer at various firms in Dallas including Looney & Associates and Duncan & Miller Design. In 2002, Tyler decided to step out on his own and established Duncan Design Group.
DDG has flourished since then―creating some notable Dallas hotspots including Plush nightclub in downtown Dallas, Hully & Mo Restaurant and Tap Room in Uptown Dallas, Fedora Restaurant and Bar in the Dallas Arts District and The Porch on Henderson. Styles for all of DDG’s projects are not limited by a particular aesthetic but instead, they draw from the needs and desires of their clients to create a space that is unique and beautiful.
